A Common Inequality

I sat at the table
Water was available
Sugar was passed around
Milk was passed around
And then tea came around
No sugar said one
No milk said another
Neither said I
No tea did accept I
It ain’t any-thing complained one
Ain’t any-tea complained another

Is a mixture better than its best parts?
Is a painting better than a blank canvas?
